Who am I?
I’ve been working in Hatton Garden since the late 1970s, judging the identities and quality of diamonds and coloured stones in gem laboratories, teaching gemmology to trade personnel and interested members of the public in the UK and overseas,, particularly emphasising the rarity and beauty of all varieties of precious stones. I love gems and I love revealing their special characteristics to all who are curious. I hope that means you!
Being established in the UK trade for so long I enjoy a reputation for knowledge and integrity essential to sustain any career in gems and jewellery. Naturally I abide by all codes of conduct demanded by the trade organisations I subscribe to, namely the London Diamond Bourse (LDB), the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) and the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem -A).
I regularly travel abroad to gem conferences and trade fairs to gather the latest global trade intelligence, meet established and prospective gem supplies and clients and attend jewellery auctions to secure rare precious stones.
I’m not a jeweller. I don’t have a retail shop. I’m a gemmologist and gem trader, based in Hatton Garden, working on my own, providing a personal service to my clients. You can contact me in the first instance through various channels then visit me, if you wish, in Hatton Garden, London, or online.
